Why I Photo-Shoot People's Shoes

First of all, I'd like to thank all those who are kind enough to take the time to let me do their shoe photo shoots.   I'm a beginner photographer and my cell phone camera is substandard so of course, I'm going to take a little longer than someone who is more equipped and experienced.

There are people who want to know what I do with shoe photos I take belonging to random people.  To quell any skepticism you all may have, I have started up a blog that will show, and not just tell you why I do what I do.

As a creative and artistic person, I'm going to do something out of the norm in order to achieve interesting visuals other than the same old, same old.  The focus is on shoes and that's it and there are no harmful or sneaky intentions on my part.

The reason why I don't take photos of shoes off of shelves is because the shoe lies dormant and shows no life.  Also, anyone can take that kind of pic and would seem like I'm copying or taking someone else's idea.  Different posture of the shoes by different people give the same pair of shoes different character and helps create a more eventful collage.  The same pair of shoes look different from person to person.

The bottom line is, I'm just an avid (athletic) shoe fanatic.  Shoes are like toys to me, just like Transformers and Barbie Dolls are to boys and girls.  Once people realize the artistic talent and time require to design a shoe, they will understand my unique appreciation for shoe art.

Creativity and imagination requires an open mind.  If reading my blog still isn't enough to subside people's unsubstantiated fears, then this site isn't for them.  They may as well NOT where anything fancy if they don't want the attention, let alone being approached.

  1. Also, being able take pictures at different angles to give shoes a different perspective is a form of creativity in itself. Sometimes the pictures themselves are enough to show the coolness of the shoe.
